| 536552 | 2007-03-28 21:59:00 | Lately I have been getting a firefox popup for index.php script. Screenshot: www.imagef1.net.nz not sure why this has started, maybe something to do with the firefox update. Anyway, what is it and how to stop it coming up? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks. |

| 536555 | 2007-03-29 01:38:00 | Generally if you are getting that it means one of two things: 1) PHP processing is not enabled on the webserver. This causes the script itself to be downloaded to your computer rather than the web page you expected. 2) The PHP script outputs excessive amounts of data, but does not send a header describing the content-type. In this case, the browser will display the download box, the logic being "This file is huge. The code to describe a web page is never this huge. Clearly, I'm not supposed to display it. Where do you want it saved to?" Both of these issues are the fault of the webhost, or the maintainer of the PHP script in question - it's not you at fault. |

| 536557 | 2007-03-31 01:41:00 | I believe this is usually a server load issue. If the PHP script doesn't provide a result within a certain time then Apache will stop the script and close the connection. The browser receives a nearly blank response. The browser will not be able to determine the type of response (e.g. text/html, image/png, application/octet-stream) as a result and will assume it is to be saved to a file. You should tell whoever is providing this site to get a better web host. | TGoddard (7263) | ||
