537241 2007-03-31 04:44:00 Recently I upgraded my pc to an AMD 4200 dual core 64 bit capable chip.
I have been running XP Pro 32 bit on a SATA hard drive with 4 partitions, I've kept my old IDE drive as a backup disk.
Anyway, I want to see how Vista 64 bit will run by creating another partition immeadiately after C: - In effect I want Dual-booting.
I did this and rebooted (i did not set the new partition as active - should I?), loading Vista 64 setup, I got to choosing which partition I wanted to install on, at this point it said that it could not find a suitable partition.
So I used the Vista utility and formatted the partition again to no avail.
Where am I going wrong?
