537532 2007-04-02 02:02:00 Hi,

I just moved from Sydney, Australia and I use to watch TV on my computer with WinFast Leadtek software and I have High Definition TV tuner card. I am find very difficult to scan and TV or Radio frequency in Auckland. In addition, in Country drop down where I select New Zealand but can't pick area in New Zealand like Auckland. If I look at Sydney settings I can select Australia and area Sydney.

Does anybody know how to fix this problem? Your prompt response would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

537534 2007-04-02 02:17:00 Is this high definition tuner a leadtek card as well?

Like the Deluxe or Expert??

And is it compatible with the Leadtek software?

I spose it depends on what kind of TV you're trying to get.

I dont think u have to select Auckland, just NZ. As we dont have states like Oz.

537535 2007-04-03 09:38:00 No, there's "Auckland", and "New Zealand". :D Graham L (2)
537536 2007-04-03 09:48:00 I could have checked, if the stupid Leadtek program would install.

Last time I emailed Leadtek, they checked it with WMP 11. And it installed OK.

BUT, it wont install with WMP 11 here. Then I tried WinDVR, but that piece of trash doesnt load the channels automatically, after u tune the channels in and save them. And quit it.

I had to load the file, everytime I ran it, so decided to use Powercinema.

HEAPS better. At least it supports Teletext, Online radio, radio/FM, RSS feeds, plays DVDs, music, pics, and the weather.

And records. Kind of similar to Nero Home, but I dont think Nero Home supports some of these features.

Hi Speedy Gonzales,

Sorry for late response I have Digital TV Turner - LDTV1000. It should be able to catch analogue signals in NZ. Not sure why it does not work as I have connected antenna to my PC.

537538 2007-04-05 02:57:00 Of course, NZ is sufficiently "advanced" and part of the global economy that it's possible to buy television sets here.

Unfortunately, NZ is sufficiently a part of the glabal economy that the vast majority of televison programmes are purchased from other countries, and the remainder are imitaions of foreign programmes.

So why bother?

I agree with you I can buy TV set, but I readly have TV set. It is on a ship from SYD to AKL. Anyways, I will play around to find out, if I can make it work. If it works, I will post the solution. I found out that there is analogue mode which I scan signals. As NZ has analogue signals and my fingers are crossed it may work. I can't wait to test it out once I get home.

I found out there would Digital TV roll out in NZ in 2008.
