538287 2007-04-04 12:03:00 Can you get a similar thing to all that rubbish, backgrounds and emoticons and stuff that you get in Incredimail, in Thunderbird?

Setting up a PC and neighbour isn't keen on his wife having Incredimail but she likes all that annoying stuff...........

Chintz curtains around the monitor? That should be enough to fool the type of person that likes incrudimail. Or tell them that the keyboard and incrudimail use the same interrupts - - - keyboard or incrudimail, choose one. :waughh:

538289 2007-04-05 00:46:00 For those who love Incredimail...here's a handy map of the parts of the brain so they can hit the right place to make all the voices go away. (www.bbc.co.uk) SurferJoe46 (51)
538290 2007-04-05 04:02:00 All very amusing but she LIKES the program and it would be nice if there were similar things available for Thunderbird cause if not, she'll have Incredimail. Regardless of how many people hate it.
Its her PC........

538291 2007-04-05 04:24:00 I hope no one is stupid enough to write an Incredimail clone for Thunderbird. Yeah I know, It's a forlorn hope.

I didn't spot anything amongst the TB extensions and themes though

538292 2007-04-05 05:16:00 I note that as the ISP spam catchers keep getting tweaked, more and more Incredimail is being identified as spam (due to the content type).

So you might need to mention that by using it, her messages may (will) increasingly not be received by anyone.

This is based on fact and not fiction, had to help someone that was complaining of their emails not getting received. Plain text versions went straight through, the "pretty" versions were consistently identified as Spam by the ISP and binned.

One less Incredimail user.

538293 2007-04-05 05:20:00 It's interesting (if sad) that people want to do these things. I suppose if the presentation is fancy enough it might make up for a lack of content. Or not. Graham L (2)

Well GL, as a male rapidly approaching "grumpy old man" status, if not already there, it will take more than a few stupidly leering animated emoticons, cheesy butlers or brain damaged fauna to make up for the dire content in the average email.

Now naked women might well work though. Anyone want to test that via the forum email? Pretty Pleeeease :D

538295 2007-04-05 08:23:00 I endlessly rant on about not using Incredimail to these people. Some refuse to listen.

sigh
