2007-04-03 22:04:00 | Hi all. My mate effie c spoke to me on Skype this morning and says he cannot connect to F1. When he tries, he gets a letter "I" inside a blue circle and the words - "Navigation to the web page was cancelled" The progress bar at the bottom of the screen apparently is slow. He says he can access all other web pages - no problems. The above message shows when he tries in IE or Firefox. Can someone tell me what the problem could be so that I can email him accordingly TIA Smithie

2007-04-03 22:11:00 | Whats the address that he typed? If you do http://pressf1.co.nz, it might not work, I tried that this morning and no go. If you do http://pressf1.pcworld.co.nz, it should work.

2007-04-03 22:26:00 | Hi Bob _Doe etc, and Speedy Gonzales, Well done - and thank you No matter what I typed in /or server I got the failed answer I thought I had damaged something when I was -and still am, trying to delete a downloaded ( KB925902 which has been downloaded bit NOT installed- a Google showed a humungus number of people in my category of frustration. Now I suspect I will have to "install" it then use a downloaded patch to correct it- definitely I was unable to delete it no matter what you people advised ( but I did get an update separate to this from Microsoft which has installed) but still left this KB file shield on display effie c

2007-04-03 22:31:00 | People, I don't know what the issue is here but it is not with the site itself - pressf1.pcworld.co.nz works fine. Why www.pressf1.co.nz no longer does I don't know, but am trying to find out. | Biggles (121) | |

Why www.pressf1.co.nz no longer does I don't know, but am trying to find out. Might be this - from www.mvps.org The Action Cancelled message (IE 6) or "Navigation to the webpage was canceled" (IE 7) is generated by Internet Explorer when entries in the users HOSTS file are preventing access from one or more servers designated in the web page. In most cases this occurs from 3rd party ad servers such as "doubleclick", where the "Action Cancelled" or "Navigation canceled" message replaces an ad banner in a hidden frame within the viewing page. To determine if this is the case, right-click the Cancelled message and select: Properties Look at the entire "path", (URL) you should see the listed entry |

2007-04-03 23:28:00 | Yes I'm connecting from the more PressF1 link at the bottom of the PC World home page. Alot of people are not getting on, as you can till by the number of posts there are. Between 10-30pm last night when I last visited and 8-15am this morning there was about 15 posts, normally I see about 30 posts. Trevor :)
