2007-04-08 04:54:00 | Here's my thinking... My brother sits at his PC and plays COD2 online all day long, it's killing him. What I need is a way to turn off his access to the internet without it affecting mine. I go to my router options (192.168.1.2) and under NAT it has: Advanced NAT Configuration This page allows you to configure the Network Address Translation options. NAT: Disabled/Enable Mode: NAT / NAPT / Dynamic NAPT Status Session Name: User's IP: Action: Add / Delete NAT Bindings Number of NAT Configurations 0 Number of Sessions 0 So how (if possible) can I configure this to just accept me? I'm thinking entering my internal IP address to this list thing? But I dont have a static IP set up. Note: IF I choose to 'disable' NAT then nobody has access, so the goal is to open my access only

2007-04-08 06:16:00 | ha.. let me worry about that, getting him away from the computer is the first step. All I'm looking for here is some advice for the router setup. | jamesyboi (6579) | |
2007-04-08 06:19:00 | Better way is to use the firewall and only allow his IP access at certain times of the day. | ughnz (8297) | |

You'll only end up with him asking others how to hack it, which could end up badly for both of you. aah, brotherly love.... Don't worry, it gets worse when your partner decides you've had enough of being in front of the PC all the time. |

2007-04-08 18:00:00 | Why use the IP address to block him. Try looking up info on MAC address for your modem/router. You should be able to lock him out of the modem/router via MAC address and then only the PC you let in will have access
