538921 2007-04-08 01:23:00 Thanks to those who responded to my earlier quest. Thunderbird and Pegasus have now been tried.
But back to the start. I have Eudora and find I can not attach the 20 or 30 files I have to send from time to time in one "Attach" session. I can eventually get them attached to one email by going through the process numerous times. I wanted to ask Qualcomm about this but they have ceased to support Eudora. The message was "Due to the fact that Eudora is no longer being developed commercially, we are no longer accepting bug reports or suggestions." Thus my need to change to an email package where I can easily attach files.
Thunderbird attaches files beautifully but does not easily allow me to have multiple signatures - another thing I need to do for the various hats I wear. Maybe I need some training here?
Pegasus would do only one attachment at a time.

Further suggestions appreciated.

It has been around for several years and is under constant development, might be worth a look.

Tbird will allow you to have a different signature for each e-mail account you set up.

Go to: Tools> Account settings> click on the account you have set up in left hand panel, then in right hand menu tick the box that says "Attach this signature"

538925 2007-04-08 05:58:00 Agree - Tbird is great! In addition to the built-in tools and functions there's a wide range of add-ons available.
By "multiple signatures" do you mean several signatures within the one message or several identities each with own signature?

538926 2007-04-08 06:29:00 Why don't you zip the files as there will be less overhead if you do so. mikebartnz (21)
538927 2007-04-08 06:29:00 what about the bat (http://www.ritlabs.com/) or foxmail ? tweak'e (69)

You could post an enquiry on one of the Eudora Users' forums - Eudora.com and click on the Users Forum button.

538929 2007-04-08 22:45:00 Mozilla's Messenger does the multiple attachments. It also allows multiple signatures, but it's a few clicks to swap which one you want. It's also possible to have a dedicated sig for any number of profiles. This means that to switch sigs you need to switch profiles - easy enough and takes only two clicks.

Any Mozilla based email client should do this for you, eg Thunderbird or Netscape.

I kinda assume you're talking about only two sigs - if more than a couple or a few then the hassle involved should make you wonder why you really need more than just a couple.

Personally I have two email "accounts" within my Messenger app - one for business, one for personal. Each can have its own sig. Swapping between them to send and/or receive messages is only a couple of clicks.

How exactly are you trying to attach the files to your emails? What size are the files you are sending?

The easiest way is to start a new message, open and resize a Windows Explorer window alongside your new message, select the files you want to attach and drag them onto the Attachment field in the new message window .

I have managed to send 26 files to myself this way with no problems at all .

mikebartnz's suggestion regarding zipping the files is also of merit .

Further suggestions appreciated .
