538640 2007-04-06 22:04:00 Besides not liking my dsl router setup (solved now), I can only get 800x600 resolution, beside opening vi and then going to find those xorg.conf files any one else got any ideas on how I can bump the screen res. Could I perhaps also let loose on the vmx files with my vmx editor.

The fedora 6 image files were downloaded from thoughtpolice (http://www.thoughtpolice.co.uk)
Ok I know you can use vmplayer to install a os but im lazy ok, besides if someone else has done the hard work and I haven't blown my cap .........

538641 2007-04-07 23:12:00 got it
had to do both
edit the vmx file to reflect my video card (it was using the vmware video emulator which had limited resolution)
and adjust xserver conf file as well (Yes Jen I used vi to do this) changed screen from generic to my model with the correct H&V sync rates.
