| 538639 | 2007-04-07 21:18:00 | Hi Marty What are you trying to do, open files made with Word 6 or run the program on XP, I had a similar issue with needing a light word processor for a laptop and XP and went with the free abiWord (http://www.abisource.com/) which is pretty similar feature wise, (also my word 6 diskettes were all faulty) but anyway Word 6 was released before even windows 95 so i am suprised it even worked on XP but... have you tried running it in "compatibility mode" I think it is called read this (www.microsoft.com) if you haven't already, it's for games but I assume it would also work for old programs |
