| 538509 | 2007-04-06 00:17:00 | Presently using Firefox and Thunderbird. Am thinking of changing to Seamonkey and would appreciate advice/comments/opinions from members who have used this program. Would changing be an improvement on my present set-up? | Dundee (10967) | ||
| 538510 | 2007-04-06 01:55:00 | I haven't tried it (yet) but I've used its predecessor for a couple of years, currently running Mozilla suite 1.7.12. I reckon go for it. | Greg (193) | ||
| 538511 | 2007-04-06 03:18:00 | Have been using Seamonkey for a long time. Decided to try it as Firefox used to "hang" for seconds at a time on my computer and loaded quite slowly. Seamonkey has been trouble free and has a really good integrated email. It's by far the fastest loading browser I have tried. (It has the provision to stay partly "loaded" in memory so when you activate it it's almost instant) The one downside is that if there is an updated version you have to download the whole thing and on dialup and around 12 m it takes a while. Hopefully this will be sorted in later versions as it is still a work in progress. Give it a go anyway -- nothing to lose and I don't think you will be sorry!! | golfer (6609) | ||

Most all the time I use Firefox but also I use the latest Netscape since it has a built-in Spyware scanner which I run every few weeks. |

If you have Spybot & AdAware or something similar, you don't need anything built in to SeaMonkey. Download it, give it a try. It's much more powerful than the default install of Firefox and more stable (in my experience). |
