538832 2007-04-07 12:53:00 I would have just downloaded the latest version. It works fine for me. radium (8645)
538833 2007-04-07 19:26:00 I spose u could just dl v3. But then does it have the v2 files in it?

IIRC, V2 of the .Net framework install, didnt have what some programs needed in V1.1 of the .Net Framework files to work.

So u had to install 1.1 then its updates then 2.

538834 2007-04-07 22:55:00 .Net is only required for the ATI control panel, If you dont have any other program that relies on .net then you should have just stuck with the first drivers you had that worked. Most probally a reasonbly current set with the classic control panel. Metla (12)
538835 2007-04-07 23:49:00 okay cheers everybody for the advice. After downloading and installing .NET Framework 1.1, then 2.0, then 3.0 (and installed my graphics card drivers, that work all good btw) I noticed that everytime I turn my PC on, the welcome screen comes up and I have to click on my account name to logon. My account is the only account on this PC and I never used to have to click on my name, it just used to logon strait away. The same thing happens when my screensaver comes up, i have to click on my name to log back in. I do not have a password (I know this might be shady but its my PC and no one other than me uses it).
Anyway, so I decided to uninstall all 3 .Net Framework thingees and after I did I still get the logon screens!! The drivers still going okay too. Should I change drivers back to the random ones I had before, now that .NET is not installed and the drivers i'm currently using need that to be installed (or at least I thought they did!). And also, how do i get rid of that annoying logon screen??
Hope this makes sense to someone!!

538836 2007-04-08 04:41:00 Go into Control Panel -> User Accounts and if you see a user called
ASPNET, Remove this.

More info here (www.tabletquestions.com)

Or Easiest solution is here:

www.microsoft.com

With the powertoy installed, you can just set the autologon feature in a nice
simple GUI dialog box.
