538760 2007-04-07 15:48:00 Fixing the MBR is easy as! If you cant do it then something is seriously wrong. You can do it with the XP cd, but i prefer a Win98 boot disk and DOS. Pete O'Neil (6584)

You obviously haven't used Msoft products Pete... it's like playing Russian roulette.

but yeah- theoreticly it's possible with an XP CD :D

Note to self:
step 4- remove CD from the little player thing when rebooting

538763 2007-04-07 22:53:00 hmmm...I dont get it, I have replaced dozens upon dozens if not hundreds of MBR's.

A common issue when dual booting, and easily fixed.

I'm the same as Metla, done its hundreds of times when removing the linux boot loaders. I wish Russian roulette was that easy.

No problem Pete, you can be a god along with Metla if you like... actually my 1st MBR horror went right along with a Linux install... maybe they should call it KGB desktopyourself instead of KDE.
