538650 2007-04-06 23:17:00 Its telling u something is wrong somewhere.

If something isnt working. Is the computer working ok or is it crashing?

538652 2007-04-06 23:33:00 It could be the ram or it could be the CPU/processor overheating.

Does it turn on at all then switch off in like 2-3 secs?

538653 2007-04-06 23:40:00 computer turns on but computer simply beeps a long repeated beep over and over constantly.

538655 2007-04-07 00:02:00 I would open the case up and if u have a fan lying around point it towards the cpu fan (not too close). See what happens then.

Your CPU maybe overheating or it may need to have some thermal grease put on it.

What kind of system is it? P4? AMD?

You've already posted a practically-identical thread in PressF1, where it seems more suitable than here in Chat.
I suggest that anyone who wants to reply does it there, ignoring this.
But you will have to provide more information there than you've done so far.
At present, it's too vague.

Edit: Ah, I see Speedy's now on the ball there.

538658 2007-04-07 00:14:00 Do you know how to remove the CPU and put thermal grease on it??

How old is it? You may have to do this to see if it fixes the prob.
