| 539692 | 2007-04-10 05:48:00 | Hey, I got a mate a work who wants to stop one automatic windows update. It's the one where it makes windows validate the version of windows but it seems to have problems with Corporate versions of Windows XP. He wants all the updates, just not that one and it will keep trying to automatically installing. Any way to stop it? |

It should give you an option somewhere in the installation process not to install that particular update and also an options not to remind or download that particular update again. I did it with my OS ..... But just cant remember exactly what options it was. |

What I was saying was if u mean the taskbar shield just untick it, then close the window . if u want to go to the windowsupdate site you'll still have to install it to use the site . . |
