539583 2007-04-09 23:47:00 Hi there, anyone know how to back up the drivers from a WIN98 installation so it can be re-installed without having to search for and download them all over again?

I know this is possible but google just finds a lot of sites trying to sell me software.

Has anyone tried using this? I downloaded it last night (having seen this link) and tried it but it didn't work. The prog loads but just shows a blank table with no entries. Clicking the Scan button has no effect (the screen blinks, so it is not frozen, but nothing else happens). Maybe I got a corrupted download or install but before retrying I thought I would see if anyone has used this utility successfully.

Another gripe is that it the limited help info makes several references to the manual but I can't find any sign of one. More evidence of a bum download?

Best option is to go & download all of the drivers again especially if you want a clean install. There is no easy way to back them up with all their registry settings & .inf files etc.

Works Ok on XP & Vista, but not 98 even though it mentions 98 in the help file, here's another one which states it works on 98

539589 2007-04-12 03:30:00 Ta very much, Snoopy. Much appreciated - the info should help Dugimodo too. Robin S_ (86)
539590 2007-04-12 07:06:00 just be aware that the programs don't back up all the apps that come with the drivers. its still best to download all the drivers and save them to cd. tweak'e (69)
