539108 2007-04-09 01:40:00 Hi, I have a D-LINK DI-524 wireless hub that i have my braodband modem pluged into then going to a desktop computer, these are both working fine. However my laptop will not connect to my home wirless and says that i have limited or no connectivity even though it is is range. It is not a fault of the laptop as it conected to my work broadband just fine. What can I do?!?!

Yours Sincerely

539109 2007-04-09 01:49:00 Did u give the laptop an ip address .

And does the hub also act as an access point?

And what are u running it in? Ad hoc or infrastructure mode?

539111 2007-04-09 03:14:00 I dont know, I'm not using a wireless hub, or on broadband.

You'll have to read the manual for the hub.

The wireless here uses USB adaptors which support ad hoc/infrastructure mode, and can also act as an access point.

And would have different settings, to what you have.

539112 2007-04-09 11:52:00 hi, I have had the same problem. Use your Control Panel and then Network Connections. You will see what connections are available.
On the left hand side of the window you should see "create a new connection". Using that you will end up a connection wizard. Just follow the instructions from there, and hopefully "Hey Presto".

cheers
