539392 2007-05-19 06:56:00 Looks clean to me.

Run HJT again tick these entries then tick fix checked.

Close browser/s.

Strange things like what?

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NeroFilterCheck] C:\WINDOWS\system32\NeroCheck.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_01\bin\jusched.exe"

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Google Desktop Search] "C:\Program Files\Google\Google Desktop Search\GoogleDesktop.exe" /startup

This entry looks like its legit (Is your mobo MSI)?? It looks like this can cause probs.Looks like this file can cause continuous reboots

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SlowDownCPU] C:\WINDOWS\INF\MSI\SlowDownCPU\SlowDownCPU.exe

539393 2007-05-19 07:02:00 well i noticed that when i shut down my PC, an 'Ending Program Now' window appears and the name of the program that it's trying to close is a whole bunch of squares and weird symbols. Thats about the only strange thing.
Also, yeah i'm not too sure about that SlowDownCPU thing, i think I googled it once and it said that I need it for something?? Who knows!! Should i get rid of it?

P.S how do i find out what kind of motherboard i have?

Tick that entry anyway. It only stops it from running on startup it doesnt delete it. See if whatever youre seeing disappears.

You'll have to get something like Everest Home. Do a search in Google/Yahoo.

Or just tick the startup entry for that file.

Right mouse on the start button / explore all users.

Go to the programs / startup folder then go to file / new / shortcut..

Then find that google file and make a shortcut to it.
