| 539397 | 2007-04-09 11:33:00 | Got the following error message: rthdcpl.exe - Illegal System DLL Reloction. The system user.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occured because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor suppling the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL. This happened after installing the latest XP update. I have an Acer Aspire 5102 WLMi laptop with 1Gig of memory with Windows XP. From my investagions so far the rthdcpl.exe is to do with the audio of the laptop. I have disabled it it with msconfig at the moment and the laptop is running okay. Anyone got any ideas how to deal with this situation? Thanks Jeff. |
