| 540231 | 2007-04-11 23:12:00 | :help: my friend is running OE6, someone has just sent him a powerpoint attachment (.pps) others have sent him .jpg pictures the pictures are visible within the email program but when he tries open by clicking on the paper clip attachment he gets an error message saying it has no programme associated with it. this is wrong all jpg and powerpoint file extensions are correctly associated with windows viewer and Powerpoint. To get around it he has to save the attachment to the desktop, then click on it then it opens fine, any ideas??? The attachment shows as a paperclip and can be saved then opened so it is NOT a virus or blocking programme. failing that can outlook express be reinstalled without reinstalling windows? |
