GhostBuster (10141)
540126 2007-04-11 21:19:00 I would go for the Asus. It should have a 2 year warranty while the Acer will only have 1 year. They usually come with a free bag and mouse as well.
Also don't see the point of having Media Center Edition on a laptop especially since it doesn't have a TV Tuner with it.

Performance wise they would be pretty similar.

540127 2007-04-11 21:31:00 ASUS.

Wouldn't go near Acer with a 10 foot pole.

540128 2007-04-12 00:35:00 Yeah, I would go with the ASUS too! SolMiester (139)
540129 2007-04-12 00:42:00 Buy Asus!

My "old" acer laptop lasted 18 months before it finally died a death . I even sent it back to Acer for repair, or at least their definition of "repair" . . . a cheap patch up job which never solved anything .

Buy Asus, it would be hard to get any worse than Acer .

540130 2007-04-12 00:48:00 ASUS and I didnt even read the specs Rob99 (151)
540131 2007-04-12 01:47:00 I'm saying Asus while using an Acer
I only got an Acer as it too good a deal to pass on.

540132 2007-04-12 02:30:00 i would go 4 the ASUS.

to be honest i don't even know ASUS but the reason i will choose ASUS is because:

1. my old desktop has a ASUS mother board and it make me feel that it is quite tough.

2. i know people who have Acer laptops and none of them are happy about it, the first guy have one hell of a expensive model and it break down inside the 1 year warranty (actually, only a few month after he first bought it), so he send it away and fixed it.........it break down again 2 days after he have it back. how his laptop will die if he uses it continually 4 more than 1 hour.......

it is only my personal thought.......

540133 2007-04-12 11:47:00 ASUS, specs/price otherwise but the reliabiltiy is far far superior than the ACER. beeswax34 (63)
540134 2007-04-12 12:16:00 Hi. I am using Asus Z92T laptop now. It is a great laptop with all bells and whistles that the manufacturer can possible fit in. I got mine from DSE for $2098.

Cheers :)
