540116 2007-04-11 11:01:00 I use Outlook Express on Windows XP and use POP for receiving messages.

I have downloaded Evolution and set it up as per my Outlook Express settings ie pop3@xtra.co.nz and I can receive e-mails from my xtra account.

How do I set it up to use IMAP. I think I need this question to be answered 'What is the Server Name for IMAP?".

540117 2007-04-11 11:06:00 Do Xtra support IMAP?
I know ClearNet do.

540118 2007-04-11 11:10:00 Somehow, I dont think Xtra supports IMAP. Not many ISP's do. Speedy Gonzales (78)

I agree with Speedy Gonzales here, I don’t think Xtra supports IMAP.

540120 2007-04-16 10:20:00 Just to confirm, Xtra doesn't support IMAP. You'll need to stick with OE or use webmail (webmail.xtra.co.nz) to send e-mails. TEOTIAWKI (12116)
540121 2007-04-17 09:07:00 Why do you want to use IMAP ?

If you can receive via POP3 and send via SMTP - there is little to be gained even if Xtra supported IMAP.

540122 2007-04-17 09:09:00 IMAP is good if you have email on a few computers, or if you are like me, and break your system on a regular basis (or just reinstall it)

I use pop mail (well i have a catch-all on all my domains which works well) and i grab that to my own server, i dont know what i would do without imap.

its a lifesaver :D

Great when you are away from home too, then you can use webmail.
