There may be some devices you can't see that are interfering with the installation. Take a look at MS-KB 315539 (support.microsoft.com) it might give you some helpful ideas. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

FIC AZ11E PCB 1.x 100 mhz bus Award BIOS 6.00 PG Date: 10/31/2000 (www.fic.com.tw) I cannot make out the gibberish on their site...can someone look at this for me and give me a little help deciphering the mess? What I want to know is if the BIOS supports USB2.0 or not..with or without the stupid expansion card we bought for it. |

| 540023 | 2007-04-13 02:19:00 | Remove the card and see if it still says enhanced in device manager. All I can see is, its Socket A, via chipset, 4 USB ports or something. BUT, it doesnt say if its USB 1.1 or 2. Uses PC133 ram 4x AGP and 200 mhz FSB. And some of the FAQ's on the FIC are linked to the search page! Which is as good as t*** on a bull. Another thing, what version of the BIOS is on it?? As it looks like the VDC46 fixed these: 1. Fix BIOS flash failure on new PMC and SST EEPROM. 2. Fix wrong USB option on BIOS 3. improve SDRAM compatibility What USB option its talking about, I dont know. And the latest BIOS is now upto VDC49. And it looks like the latest BIOS is later than the one you posted. Here (www.fic.com.tw) |
