| 540996 | 2007-04-14 09:35:00 | I have a GeForce 6100 and have set the display resolution to it's maximum settings - 1024x768/32-bit/75 Hertz This worked fine with my old graphics card, but with this one the screen is constantly flickering. It's not extreme, but enough to notice and very irritating. The flickering is not there when I reduce it to 60 Hertz, but then you can clearly see that this is not the correct setting because the letters look really thick and all. For those with NVIDIA cards, I opened op the control panel and under description is said "Standard will drive only a single display from your graphics card" and under typical usage scenarios it says "A single display device connected to your graphics card" Any idea what that means? Also, I just tested it with a Dell CRT monitor, and everything looked OK fine on max settings. I can't use this CRT though as I was only borrowing it and it belongs to someone else. The LCD that I have is a PC Company one, brand is Likom I believe. Thanks |

| 540998 | 2007-04-14 10:18:00 | Is it the LCD that you are using? If so 60hz is the standard refresh rate for lcds, they work differently to crts. and it may be going big because you arent using the native resolution of the LCD, so the LCD will try to scale the image. I know that if i use the wrong refresh rate with any of my LCDs that they go weird. |

| 540999 | 2007-04-14 10:49:00 | Jen: The funny thing is, before I had interchanged with the CRT, I still had the option of setting it to 85 Hertz, but the screen was still flickering. Now, have plugged the LCD back in after testing it with the CRT, I can only set it to a max of 75 Hertz The last time, about 5 days ago, when I tried to update the drivers it said that I had the latest drivers already installed. Dannz: I don't think so, because as I said, I used to have a GeForce 440 and the screen displayed fine with 75 Hertz, 1024*768 - which is the native resolution. Very strange. NVIDIA does however recognise it's a Likom. Before it didn't even recognise what model it was. |

| 541000 | 2007-04-14 10:50:00 | Weird... Unless your LCD just happened to start dying. Though this has happened to me. New Graphics Card, and the way that the LCD behaves changes. Never traced the fault. it just stopped one day  |
