| 540858 | 2007-04-13 10:36:00 | Are there any cheap video cards that support a resolution of 1440x900? All the cheap ones I've looked at so far (Nvidia 5200/6200, ATI 9250) seem to support everything but what I want. | Greven (91) | ||
| 540859 | 2007-04-13 10:40:00 | Put it this way My parent's NVIDIA G-force 2 mx is happily driving a 19" widescreen monitor running at 1440 x 900.... Therefore, one would think that the cards you mentioned can. |

| 540861 | 2007-04-13 10:55:00 | I think it also depends on the drivers. Most if not all things above Radeon 7500 and GeFroce TNT should be able to do 1440x900... | qazwsxokmijn (102) | ||
| 540862 | 2007-04-13 10:56:00 | The cards I looked at had a list of supported resolutions & 1440x900 isn't on there. Is it just a driver issue, or do the cards have to be tweaked to display a 16:10 resolution? | Greven (91) | ||
| 540863 | 2007-04-13 11:05:00 | Eh no, not that I know of, if the drivers support 1440x900 + it'll be the size of the monitor. I didnt have to tweak the drivers after I installed. And both monitors here are at 1440x900, with the latest ATI drivers. I just changed the resolution to 1440x900. That was it. Didnt have to do anything else. |

My parents just got an AOC 193FW monitor & their onboard graphics can't do the native res even with the latest drivers. I guess the websites for the video cards must be outdated, which isn't surprising considering how old the cards I'm looking at are. |

| 540865 | 2007-04-13 19:37:00 | I should have mentioned 16:10 is widescreen (the screen itself). Its not a resolution. Which is what the 193FW is. So u cant tweak anything to get 16:10, as you're already lookng at it (the screen itself is 16:10 - widescreen). |

I was thinking ratio, and I saw ratio when I read it after posting :o |
