Disappointing.It is not made to take down the 8800GTX but GTS. :D Can't wait for X2950XTX. Now, I need think and make some room budget for X2950XTX. ATI/AMD is going for GHz GPU not MHz anymore. But X2900XT got great value compared to 8800 GTS. :( Too, bad I need around $300 plus for CompTIA A+ exam very soon, so $300 savings for my PC will be gone. But never mind there's still time for saving up for a X2950XTX while it is in the lab. I will definitely skip this card X2900XT because of heat and power issues which means Summer time is going to be at extreme temp for the GPU. |

| 541463 | 2007-05-20 20:57:00 | Intel originally was going for clock speed, now look at them... the clocks are lower than what they used to be yet the chips are faster know why? ATI is sutpid for trying to get high clock speeds, high clock speeds are what makes up the huge power consumption and heat issues... Why not make a slower clock speed GPU that does more data per cycle, this is what Intel has done with the C2D and look at that... Any card will be fine as long as you have the case air flow :rolleyes: EDIT: and anyway... the 8800GTX is capable of hitting 1GHz clock speed |
