541425 2007-04-16 13:34:00 I would say at this early stage in the game the game developers would be shooting themselves in the foot by only releasing a DX 10 only game when not much of the pc gaming market has bought a DX 10 card yet.

Personally I will wait for there to be plenty of DX 10 games that I want to buy before I splash out heaps of money on a new DX 10 card and Vista Ultimate, and with service pack 2(I want to have 2 computers 1 with Vista for DX 10 gaming and the other 1, I have now with XP PRO on).

Bit of a contridiction there. If people are not buying DX10 games until there are heaps of them then the makers surely are not going to produce them. Catch 22.

Me I will buy any DX10 game that meets what I want in a game. It should be very nice.

Currently running STALKER at FULL settings on my Vista/8800GTX with fluid motion. Shame there are so many bugs in it that require work arounds.

Stalker didn't look very high end graphics to me.
Its just an RPG with guns.

541428 2007-04-17 01:05:00 But only the DX 10 cards have the top performance at the moment. :) The GPU war is about to get started so I think they'll be cheaper anyway. The 8900 and R600 release date is pretty close. PedalSlammer (8511)

541430 2007-04-17 03:22:00 Halo 2 will only run on Vista? Now that's a business scheme of MS's that I certainly don't agree on. qazwsxokmijn (102)
