541338 2007-04-15 21:33:00 Hi there:) , I am trying to burn a movie I made in Power Producer to a DVD+RW and every time I start the burning process, it gets to about 15% in the writing process, then my laptop completely shuts down:badpc:. I've worked really hard on putting this all together for a dear friend, so any help will be greatly appriciated:thumbs: ! Perci (12146)
541339 2007-04-15 21:40:00 Try a normal blank DVD+ or DVD-.

What version of Windows is installed, and how much ram is on it?

If u use XP, right mouse on my computer on the desktop / properties / advanced tab / startup and recovery / settings. Untick automatically restart.

Is it bringing up a blue screen? with an error? If it is, whats it say?

Does t juyst shut down or does it crash?

Also try going to control panel / admin tools / event viewer. Look under application and system look for any erro entries. Or X's. if there are any here, whats it say?

I take it, power is connected to the laptop?

541340 2007-04-15 22:18:00 Thank You Speddy!

Under Event View it has X's they say "application error" and "application hang up". I have Windows XP and I haven't had it that long so there should be plenty of RAM on it. There is not a blue screen, it just shuts down, and it doesn't crash.:illogical

541341 2007-04-15 22:32:00 By the looks of it, there's an option in Powerproducer to turn the computer off somewhere, when the burning has finished?

Untick this option. Youre not formatting these DVD's before u burn to them are you?

541342 2007-04-15 22:56:00 I can not find any option like that in power producer. I am just using new blank dvd+rw discs with 4.7GB and 120min. Perci (12146)
541343 2007-04-16 00:13:00 Try a DVDR see if it works.Other than that, I would try / get another program.

I dont use Powerproducer myself.
