| 542150 | 2007-04-18 19:31:00 | hello, i have a serious problem with my microphone: when i talk on skype noone can hear me talk but they can hear music i play from the speakers. On sound recorder i also can't record voice and i can record music. So something with the settings must have gone wrong. I am using realtek drivers and i can't find where i should fix this problem. I also reinstalled drivers - everything is the same |

| 542151 | 2007-04-18 19:40:00 | are you up to date with your patches, if so do you get a error message on start up. If you do get a error msg on startup type the title of the error message into google, that should lead you to a microsoft hotfix. Microsoft have released a hotfix for one of their patches that clash with the realtec sound driver. Sorry cant remember the hotfix id If you dont get a error msg as described forget all of the above |

| 542152 | 2007-04-18 21:13:00 | In the Skype options, what device does it say you're using for Recording? Click Tools --> Options --> Sound Devices --> Audio In. Set it to "Windows Default" Then go Start --> Control Panel --> Sounds & Audio Devices. Then click the Audio tab up the top. Have a look at the default device, click "Volume" and see which is selected as the input, it might have "select" ticked next to it :) Welcome to PressF1 Johny Beama, I think you mean: www.microsoft.com Microsoft KB article: KB935448 Cheers Chill. |
