| 541960 | 2007-04-17 23:27:00 | The moment I switch on the wall outlet power, this pc boots up - before even I push the power button on the computer's front panel. I could turn off the machine normally without any problem. I have to push the Power button on the front panel in order to boot up the computer (as it should be) as long as the wall socket power remains ON. But when I switch OFF the wall outlet and turn it back ON, the computer boots up automatically. What do you all suggest? A failed psu? Checked all the wire connections, seems to be OK. Cheers |

But, if the button switch is jammed, then the machine would have turned off - just like press and hold on the buton for a few seconds and the computer will be turned OFF. I have tried pulling out the power wire connected to the MB and the button switch and the computer turns ON the moment I switch ON the wall power. Or, a Motherboard problem??? |

| 541969 | 2007-04-18 01:55:00 | Hmm I could/would buy it But I wouldnt need the monitor, since I've got 2 spare monitors here. Or the hdd, or the floppy. I would buy a cheap mouse/keyboard. And I would most probably put a P4 in, instead of the celeron. So it wouldnt be much. |
