| 541798 | 2007-04-17 11:28:00 | I have just suffered a major problem on Saving Data to External Media. My PC has suffered an apparent Floppy Drive Failure, but in conjunction with this, the CD drive fails to recognise that it is loaded with a Blank CD-R, giving the message to load a disk into the drive, and also fails to recognise when a USB Drive Memory Stick is loaded - similarly message to the CD Drive. The CD Drive works OK if I load a music CD. A bit of a mystery - unlikely that all three have failed simultaneously - would it be a software problem, or a component failure on the motherboard. Ken |
