| 541753 | 2007-04-17 05:23:00 | Hi all, I am having trouble with my broadband disconnecting every 5 minutes or so usually after about 8.00pm. What I would like to know, is there a log kept in Windows XP anywhere that records the length of time between modem connections I could quote from when speaking to Xtra helpdesk. Thanks for any help. |

| 541755 | 2007-04-17 05:37:00 | This happened to me.. I found out it was a issue telecom had to deal with. But with some routers/modems there are logs kept.. Please tell us your modem and location as it might not be a line issue. | w000t (11562) | ||

Also for speed / disconnect problems they can monitor your line for a week to see what's going on - usually not until they have exhausted other options. I'd give them a ring, they can check your line for faults etc & give you some advice - although ISP helpdesks do tend to offer insultingly basic help by rote, once you get past that they can be quite helpful. |
