| 541750 | 2007-04-17 04:48:00 | I hope that this forum deals with printer problems as well as PC problems!! I am trying to print out a users manual for my new Olympus 550UZ digital camera on my Canon Pixma ip3000 printer and want to enlarge the printout. I am printing out two pages at a time - A5 size alongside one another on an A4 sheet (landscape) - and I have been able to scale up the image, but on printing, I find that I am cutting off the left-hand edge. So I want to move the whole image to the right as there is plenty of room on the right-hand side! But there does not appear to be a facility to adjust the page margin - or shift the whole image. Can anyone assist? | jno (12040) | ||

If "Scaled Printing" is selected, then the ability to adjust the page margin is not available. I have experimented with a 104% scaling, and when I printed off the one sheet of pp 1 and 3 the l.h. edge of p.1 was uncomfortably near where the binding will be, but more in hope than anticipation, I then printed off pages 1 to 15, and lo and behold, though the l.h. edge of p.1 is a bit near the edge of the page, the others aren't nearly as bad. A function, I think, of how the manual is laid out rather than anything to do with the printer. So I'll proceed in that fashion. But of course, although my immediate problem is more or less resolved, the fact still remains that I don't seem to be able to shift margins when wanting to print out a .pdf file on the Canon printer. If anyone knows how to do this I would be most grateful. |
