| 541748 | 2007-04-17 03:41:00 | hi, I have a Meade Lunar and planetary imager is is basically a webcam used for taking long exposure images through a telescope. It runs on software called autostar suite which contains the driver necessary for it to run (runs through USB). I have it installed on my desktop computer running windows xp SP2 and it runs perfectly. I installed the same software on my laptop with all updates which runs on windows vista home premium, the software seems to work fine but it cannot detect the camera. the light on the back comes on for about 5 secs then turns off. Also when i first plug it in win vista starts installing some other driver for the camera which i think it downloads from the internet. can someone tell me why the camera won't work and weather there is anything i can do to allow it to work?
