| 541485 | 2007-04-16 10:15:00 | hello there.. i`m facing this problem that when i try to talk to my friend on google talk then i can hear his voice but he can`t hear mine...i`ve uninstalled my sound driver -via vinyl audio codecs driver v6.80b and again reinstalled it but nothing new happened, earlier i was using via audio driver 3.70b.i`ve also tried basic troubleshooting like clicking the playback option in volume control and checking the mic in it but after all this all i get is that i can just hear music or any sound on my mic but can`t speak to anybody... please help me :groan: thanks in advance... |

I know these are simple things, but: Check it's not muted in volume control Check it's not muted on the mic (my one has a mute button on the mic itself) Check if it's plugged in ;) (yes, i have been guilty of all three above, and convinced there was something wrong, hehe) Check if it works or not on another computer Check if someone elses mic works on your computer |
