541833 2007-04-18 22:19:00 Yeah Im actually looking to see if theres any kind of clustering solution out there? Maybe I'll just split the load between my K8 Athlon 3100+ & my new P4 2.4Ghz, giving each half the files... theres about 40 hours of video to encode still! :D Chilling_Silence (9)
541834 2007-04-19 00:11:00 I know Sony Vegas can enconde via clustering, but not sure of anything else unfortunately... what software are you using to encode?

LOL, thst could take a few... days

541835 2007-04-19 12:55:00 I've read about this but never tried it: x264farm
forum.doom9.org

the clock speed difference is too great between the machines I have, so I never bothered to test this..but you might want to give it a try~

541836 2007-04-20 11:50:00 x264farm!

I love x264, was encoding in linux with HandBrake, its simply the best! Thanks, I'll give that a shot :)

Had been using Nero Recode's AVC in windows, but the results arent as nice as x264. I ran a few test encodes of my own and things, x264 is by far the best there is!
