| 543107 | 2007-04-22 01:29:00 | Hi all When I plug a usb device into windows xp it usually pops up with a dialog box on what I want to with it. Trouble is on my winxp laptop when I plug in my usb memory stick I dont get the pop up dialog box. I go to MY Computer and see if it is mounted and then explore its contents. Must be some setting somewhere that I have disabled or some program has disabled to stop the pop up. I havent a clue where to look. Look forward to any help you can give me on this. Cheers Darrin :):) |

| 543110 | 2007-04-22 05:21:00 | Hi all Thanks for the quick replies. under Auto Play there is a drop down context menu with four entries. Music, Picture, Mixed, Video. Even when I put the tickbox to Ask me each time what to do it doesnt pop up. Should there be more in the context menu. Think I must be heading in the right direction Cheers Darrin :):) |

Did you right-click on the Removable Drive icon in Windows Explorer? It should have just "Autoplay" in the menu, which you click on, eg like this example (www.imagef1.net.nz). |
