| 542748 | 2007-04-21 12:38:00 | I wonder if SP1 for Vista will be like XPs SP1 (Just a crappy bunch of essential hotfixes bundled together nicely) or like XPs SP2 (Which fixes a lot of issues and adds some much-needed features like the Security Center etc). Still not interested in using it :( |

Still not interested in using it :( i'll say itll be a xp service pack 1 with an attempted service pack 2, explained: all the hotfixes bundled nicely, some poor effort to fix major issues and add minor new features which no one will end up using anyway ^_^ :2cents: |

| 542753 | 2007-04-24 02:54:00 | Since when is M$ always logical and comprehensible? Microsofts stance on SP1, said one analyst, is incomprehensible. "I dont get that logic," said Michael Cherry, an analyst with the Directions on Microsoft research firm. "If customers want dates that they can plan around for major releases [of Windows], why wouldnt they want the same consistency and ability to plan for service packs?" |
