| 1413633 | 2015-12-31 20:50:00 | I recently upgraded my phone software from WP8.1 to WP10 In doing so, I've lost the voice recognition capability I used to enjoy - yes, enjoy - with WP8.1 It appears Cortana is part of the spec for WP10, but Cortana is not yet available here and M$ NZ tell me they don't know when that will be. In the meantime, does anyone know of any alternative voice recognition software compatible with WP10 - I'm reluctant to revert to WP8.1. Thanks. |

Thanks Driftwood, I'm talking about Windows Phone 10 and the link was to the Desktop / Tablet version of W10. Thanks anyway. Was cortana working with 8.1?? You can change settings so it'll install. Are you using the preview of WP10?? I installed it a while ago, but it's not final. Well not for this phone anyway Re Cortana and 8.1, I don't know - I never installed or tried to install it. Yes I'm using the preview of WP10. What I'm missing is the ability to have texts read to me, and dictate or initiate outward texts. Any thoughts? p.s. I'll PM you about something else shortly. |
