| 1407854 | 2015-09-03 04:19:00 | Husband has trouble buying things in shops - especially supermarkets. I asked for a box pack of mushrooms some time ago and it took the checkout girl, a phone call to me and a big drama last time. Even though I had printed off a pic and the description of them and given it to him. So I need mushrooms again. Should I go myself? Well my ankle is a bit damaged at the moment so he says, no he can go, he knows about the mushrooms now. He comes back with the mushrooms (yay), a bag of apples and a container of ice cream and 3 scratchy tickets. I say what did you waste money on that for? So he says he goes to the counter as usual to get the girl to find things and asks for, well you'd think.... apples and mushrooms. I don't know whos fault it was, his, hers? He has a $10 note in his hand and his wallet in the other. She snatches the $10 off him and gives him 3 scratchy tickets worth $10 in total. He protests, she takes the tickets back and scans them. He says the machine beeps. So she gives them back. So anyway, eventually he gets the particular apples he wanted, my mushrooms and some ice cream - which actually comes to more than $10 anyway, and comes home, still with the scratchy tickets. So I scratch one. (He'd scratched the other 2 and thrown them out because, he says, they were stupid and he couldn't figure the rules out after he scratched them) After I spend ages interpreting it's involved rules, he won $90 on one of them. We have no idea if the other 2 had won....who knows, perhaps they had won a million dollars....LOL. |

As for the supermarket, as Males we know if we are bad enough at something consistently enough eventually you'll stop asking...... :p I do my own shopping, I'm good at it and kinda enjoy it. I just find things myself. Back when I wasn't single though I just pushed the trolley and shut up. |

He does have trouble - girls up there getting used to him, they fetch pretty much everything for him - and no, I do the main shopping, he gets things now and then. Apples, beer kits etc. As for scratchys, better than a poke in the eye, but he prefers lotto. Same con if you ask me, I don't like any of the gambling things... He wants to win the Ford ute on the upcoming lotto, he says so he can sell it, buy a used Hilux and still have change. LOL. |

Still do that every week -- Admit it you loved it :D I just stroll along, if I get in front of SWMBO she knows its run to keep up - Run is a dirty word as far as she's concerned, so not to much in the arms ;) Don't ya just love it when people park their trollies at weird angles and block the whole row ? they also make good dodgems -- Out the way coming through  usually occupied by dirty looks :D |

| 1407859 | 2015-09-03 08:47:00 | I can relate to this. :) Years ago, when my kids were at Primary school, the wife took ill and couldnt do the shopping so she wrote a note as to what was required and off the kids and I went to the local Supermarket. The kids went off with the note and the money and I sat in the car in the carpark. In no time they were back with a couple of trolleys full of groceries, the docket and the right change. Beauty, Id just proved there was no need for me to do battle in a bloody Supermarket. However, many years later I was holidaying in Queensland and staying with my daughter, son-in-law and grandsons and there was need for stocks to be replaced. She wouldnt accept any money so I said Id go for a ride with her to the Supermarket with the plan being that at the appropriate moment Id push in front of her at the check-out and pay for whatever was in the trolleys. The plan worked a treat until I announced I was paying and the daughter shot around into another isle taking photos with her phone. Well the checkout chicks and other customers wondered what the hell was going on until she announced that her father had never been in a supermarket and she just had to have a photo to send to all the friends and relations. I copped a bit of stick from some of the women but one guy reckoned I was a bloody legend. :D |

Worse though, is some gorgeous single woman asks me for advice about an item in the baking products aisle the other day which I assist with, but I can't chat her up cos g/f is next to me. *sigh* :( | Greg (193) | ||

| 1407862 | 2015-09-05 01:02:00 | Sounds quite illegal pctek, scratchies were scanned for winning tickets before being given, which is how I am interpretting it. I assume they were just trying to be nice, but they really got to keep within the laws as action against thw company be heavy and not something an owner would like to bare for people being too nice. Cheers, KK |

Well only 1 won, the other 2 didn't . The entire thing sounded weird to me anyway . . . . he goes there for other items, how does scratchies even come into it? But never mind, I got my mushrooms, which is the main thing . :-) |
