2015-08-24 08:54:00 | Yes I do. :groan: But that application was declined by Work and Income. :clap So Ms Port took it to the Social Security Appeal Authority which ordered the ministry to pay two thirds of the $3,000 cost. HERE (www.tvnz.co.nz)

2015-08-24 20:37:00 | Insane. My mum couldn't even get a loan from WINZ to help with their house repairs..... Told her to explore other lending providers.

2015-08-25 04:09:00 | This is completely ridiculous, and imo sets a terrible precedent. Buy random stuff from late night infomercials and the government will pay for it for you. Great work. | inphinity (7274) | |

She couldn't get help for necessary things - as in a loan. This woman gets money for such a ridiculous item. OK, exercise, but does she need a machine? Does she even need a NEW machine, if she must exercise that way. I agree, it's mad. |

2015-08-25 05:33:00 | It is absolute nonsense and would be one time that everyone is in agreement. :clap However, lets not lose sight of the fact that Work & Income sent Ms Port packing. It was the Social Security Appeal Authority that found in Ms Port's favour. Now it is off to the High Court, so well see what sort of a meal they can make of it. And guess who is paying for all this nonsense, yep you got it, you and I. In the meantime where is Anne Tolley? This is her Department and she is missing in action. Mind you she voted for Worm Farms to have designated Safety Officers so we cant expect much there. Maybe well get another load of gobbledygook from our intrepid PM.

2015-08-25 06:10:00 | Just imagine her thinking- I won't ask if I am entitled, of course I am, the world owes me a living. | Cicero (40) | |
2015-08-25 06:22:00 | Amazing situation! Apart from the ridiculous $3000 treadmill - top of the range. News item TV1 - she has "Anxiety" and irritable bowel syndrome. Why is she even on a benefit?. And how will this machine help? She didn't appear too disabled on TV, while walking / jogging very well. Taxpayers - suckers again ?
