From 8.1 to W10. 1} 8.1, when clicking on red cross top right I would get a drop down asking, "Cancel all tabs" or "Cancel this tab only" I don't havit on W10. Only Cancel all tabs. Is it hidden somewhere or have I got it wrong? 2} 8.1. Click on an empty space onscreen to get a dropdown to select an action. Not on W10. I want the "Send To" command. 3} As above to make a shortcut onto screen. 4} Are there any bloat programs that could be removed? Thanks. PJ |

Thats in Edge - the other main browsers, Firefox, Chrome and Old IE are still the same as always. 2. You wont get a "send to" on a empty space on the desktop - What are you trying to send, the whole Desktop ? You need to select something first, this has not changed since previous versions of Windows. 3. If you want on the start menu, then right click what ever it is " pin To Start". If you want something on the desktop like a shortcut, right click what ever it is, ( programs generally) Open File Location - then right click the Icon you want - Send to Desktop / Create Shortcut. 4. Start menu and tiles :p |

| 1406953 | 2015-08-19 07:20:00 | I got rid of the new Edge browser PJ. I put Internet Explorer as the default browser. I haven't got my lappy with me for a few days (using a tablet) but do a search or look in the menu for it. I can't remember exactly how I did it but maybe wainuitech will help :) (great bloke to ask when you have a problem - thanks WT) Edge really annoyed me and I decided to dump it using the "better the devil you know" theory. I think Edge is a work in progress. Ken |

In the search start to Type Internet Explorer and it will appear, right click it pin to start or Pin to Taskbar -- OR if you want it on the desktop as a shortcut, Select Open File Location - then right click the icon in the box that opens - Send to Desktop / Create shortcut. 6701 OR like I do, install a dock, and have it there. (also have Pale Moon, Firefox and Chrome) its pick a browser :D 6702 |
