1414140 2016-01-20 19:53:00 the NETCOMM NB604N :yuck::yuck:
They are a cheap and sometime troublesome Router. Had one of those as a testing unit once.
You are a braver man than I. I wouldn't even use them as a "test" router... So flaky it's not even funny!

I also get the red screen when logging in, but refreshing the page and giving it a bit of time and the login box opens up ok.
Yeah it's easiest to modify the settings if you unplug the phone cable on the NB6Plus4Wn, I recall that back in the day being an issue... Then when you're done making the changes, plug the phone cable back in to get internet again.

1414142 2016-01-27 19:20:00 Bowing to your superior knowledge, can you suggest a better alternative to setup/replace this router before it craps out? ADSL2+. Danger (287)

They have several different models varying in price and features.

Got a old TP-Link Wireless access point in our lounge, been running for close to 5 years now.(could be longer)

1414144 2016-01-27 20:36:00 Ok, sure my Netcomm is even older than that, just this morning I'm having a few websites play up again (including this one) not loading sometimes, wondering if its the router and if I should reset it again. Danger (287)
1414145 2016-01-29 04:08:00 Seems the issues I had yesterday were probably related to useless Vodafone outages. Danger (287)
1414146 2016-01-29 04:25:00 Draytek DV130 for the "Modem" part, and a TP-Link TL-WR1043ND for the "Wireless" part (And put Gargoyle on it).
Only takes about 10 minutes to setup but they are *amazingly* reliable as a result :)

1414147 2016-01-29 18:29:00 Haha, sounds like a couple of days buggering around for us non techies tbh, but thanks for the recommendation. Think I would want something simpler than two devices or just stick with what I have. Danger (287)
