1414169 2016-01-08 21:44:00 Hi Guys, so I bought this second hand Macbook Pro yesterday and when home I discovered it has some issues connecting to WiFi, my other APPLE products have no issues connecting to the WiFi network. I started googling and made some changes in the "locations" area as described at this website:osxdaily.com and it working fine for most of the night. This morning, at some stage there was no WiFi connection and when I clicked on the WiFi icon it says: Wi-Fi: Looking For Networks but it keeps alternating between this and ON. Am a bit puzzled. Can anyone help? mark1978 (13845)
1414170 2016-01-08 21:56:00 Have you tried restarting the Wifi router? I periodically do that with my Wifi router when my iMac wifi connection drops off periodically. Webdevguy (17166)
1414171 2016-01-08 22:04:00 The Router is a Apple Airport Router...I have restarted it but get the same results :( mark1978 (13845)
1414172 2016-01-09 05:55:00 Is OS X up to date?
What version is it?

1414173 2016-01-09 07:11:00 El Capitan, it seems the iMac is doing this too....It might just be looking constantly for the connection however I never noticed it on this machine, the macbook pro is obvious as the WiFi signal is off and when you go there with your mouse it says its looking for a network...pretty strange. I have reset the Apple Airport Extreme and I have been looking at upgrading the firmware however the latest firmware is installed. mark1978 (13845)
1414174 2016-01-09 12:16:00 Have you done an SMC and PRAM reset? CYaBro (73)
