1413801 2016-01-03 20:50:00 I am rebuilding WIN7 on a PC. I installed Office 2007 and activated the program. However, I mis-answered the question as to"do you want to check for updates". I answered no. Even after a System Restore I am still blocked from obtaining updates. I have reinstalled the program three times and still cannot get an update. Any ideas please? Bryan (147)
1413802 2016-01-03 20:53:00 In Windowsupdate make sure give me updates for other MS products is ticked if the option is there Speedy Gonzales (78)
1413803 2016-01-03 21:36:00 No, no such option. Bryan (147)
1413804 2016-01-03 22:21:00 Control panel>Windows Update>Change settings (at top left) feersumendjinn (64)
1413805 2016-01-03 22:34:00 Tried that but will not bring up other MS products, only Windows7. Bryan (147)
1413806 2016-01-03 23:33:00 According to this. (support.office.com)

In an Office 2007 application, like Word 2007, choose Microsoft Office Button Office button image > Word Options > Resources > Check for Updates.

1413807 2016-01-04 00:23:00 From what I have found, the latest updater is Microsoft Update. This super-cedes the Windows update which seems to be no longer available. Everytime I try to invoke MS updates I get pushed off to Windows updates which tell me that there are no updates available. I have loaded Office 2007 too often before and know that there are further updates. It looks like I will need to format the partition of Win7 and start again, or else, forget Office and use Kingsoft! 1413808 2016-01-04 00:29:00 Uninstall it then use the tool to remove the rest of it (support.microsoft.com), then try again Speedy Gonzales (78)
1413809 2016-01-04 01:24:00 Speedy you are bloody brilliant. Easyfix worked like a charm and with a little careful follow on after the reinstall, everything is loading well. Instead of just receiving windows updates, I see that I also now get "other microsoft product updates". Thanks a million and happy New Year. Bryan (147)
