| 1413647 | 2016-01-01 01:52:00 | I have just bought www.trademe.co.nz And Windows 10 doesn't recognize it were as linux does, it bleeps as though its loaded in windows but nothing also when using in linux I can only see the sata drives and not IDE drives which is what I bought it for as I have a lot of IDE drives that I wish to access is it just a case of removing all the jumpers or putting them in the right sequence as the disc's spin but don't show. Would like to access them with win 10 as main OS |

That was a typo -- Bloody W10 playing up, locked and couldn't get back before the timer ran out. It was meant to read IDE. The advert states SATA which doesn't mean it has IDE as well - Hence asking. |

| 1413653 | 2016-01-03 01:13:00 | If it has a cheap power supply, then the whole thing is potentially an IED... :) Reading a Guardian article yesterday about dyslexia. Someone said something dumb in the reader comments section and someone else replied with WFT?. That last reply got a huge number of likes and it took me quite a while to figure it out! (IED = Improvised Explosive Device) |

The advert states SATA which doesn't mean it has IDE as well - Hence asking. I know, I suppose I should have put a :p or something on my comment to show it was a joke. But when you know someone who lost a 640GB drive to a real bargain-basement SATA HDD enclosure, yeah. Those things are IEDs sometimes... Even more frustrating when you have previously explained at length why the ultra cheap ones are NOT a good idea! |
