1407664 2015-08-31 03:34:00 Would it be a bad thing to rid the world of AVG? ;) Renegade (16270)
1407665 2015-08-31 06:57:00 Meanwhile, NOD32 just laughs at then both. :D pcuser42 (130)
1407666 2015-09-01 22:36:00 Why is NOD32 the best? They are just another eastern, probably nondescript Euro country company, like many of the other anti-virus companies? They must be retaining their staff somehow, to prevent poaching from the others. Or do they scalp the best programmers from somewhere? AVG could improve - been around long enough - but how to improve... kahawai chaser (3545)

Some interesting points in that article
Sure, payware AV isnt the product it should be, or could be.
Why, when we pay for 'good' AV, does 3rd party freeware do a much much better job of malware cleanup (thats cleanup, prevention is another thing)
Why, does the 'good' AV not detect some malware untill after the infection.
AV will never be better than 95% , some malware allways gets through , no matter what brand of AV.

Its user stupidity & lack of the most basic of staff training causing most malware issues that Ive seen.
AV cant protect against that.
