| 543339 | 2007-04-23 00:36:00 | Hi, i have just done a repair install on an XP Home SP2 machine. Now, when i boot it up i get prompted to logon (guest + admin) and asked for a password. When i type in password to either logon i get an error stating 'specified domain does not exist or cannot be contacted', this is the same if i boot into safe mode, i cannot get passed this logon screen, any ideas?? TIA |

| 543340 | 2007-04-23 01:07:00 | Domain? Home version doesn't do Domain passwords. Did you have this thing set up as being on a network at all before? When you tried Safe Mode, you used the system admin login? By default, unless you changed it it has no passwrod. I have had this sort of thing caused by a virus. If you can't get in via sys admin password, you'd need ERD Commander to hack it. |
