| 543205 | 2007-04-22 10:12:00 | I have EZ Anti virus program installed and I use to have an AV symbol down by the clock. The symbol has now gone and I would like to know how to recover it. Regards, Mervselm |

| 543206 | 2007-04-22 10:53:00 | It is possible that your anti-virus program is no longer running, hence the missing icon. Right-click the taskbar, choose Task Manager and under Processes see if your AV is listed. | FoxyMX (5) | ||

Another process is cctray that is the process that controls that icon. Not sure how to get that icon back all my attempts seem to have radom results except for waiting for approx to 2 mins before logging into the machine. I havent tried but it might be usefull to look for ezy trust support forum |

What happens in the time lag until you get it all warmed up and out of the garage? Most viral activity jumps into your system at re-boot...and that's not the time to have your AV still alseep. |

Maybe I can learn something new today.. OK..tell me that it doesn't matter if the tray icon is there or not..but I gotta know if the tray icon does or does not indicate viability (running or not) of the program at question? Seems to me: No Icon = Not Running. |

| 543213 | 2007-04-23 19:48:00 | ok joe in my case no tray icon all anti virus processes running, checked through task manager. BUT If theres no tray icon it would be a VERY good idea to check to make sure the virus checker is functional. I know of at least one virus that uninstalls virus checkers so it can play unhinded with your system. |
