543192 2007-04-22 09:26:00 Hi

Have this frustrating problem with my computer and a installation of NERO OEM Suite V6. It has never done this before when i have installed it, but now I have reinstalled windows NERO insists on using Japanese language instead of English when installing. I have Windows IME, it is set to English and my regional settings seem set to NZ and English.

Does anyone know how I can get it to install in English?

Many thanks

543193 2007-04-22 09:35:00 I also noticed I am getting a yen rather than my forward slash key.

Thanks

543195 2007-04-23 05:18:00 I am not surprised. They own most of the world by now don't they? Why shouldn't Japanese be the world language?. They may have lost a Physical war, but they sure have won a Financial war.

Like Great Britain, who won every European war. But are surely loosing their Identity to the European Community. The combined EU are getting their own back. PJ

543196 2007-04-23 05:20:00 in nero its self you can install other languages, dont know if that helps but might be worth looking into Codex (3761)
543197 2007-04-23 07:11:00 Have u tried installing on your computer? because the setup for me was all in Japanese or what ever it was but that was just the setup not the actual program after installation w000t (11562)
543198 2007-04-23 09:08:00 assuming you got xp
go into control panel
go into Regional and Language Options
then into the 'advance' tab
make sure the language for non-unicode program is set to english
your one is probably set to japanese

getting yen rather than a slash indicates that for some reason you've set your comp to default to jap

nero's just trying to be smart and pick the right language for you
too bad it screwed up

oh yea also after install I think you can change your language in nero back to english anyway..
