544309 2007-04-25 11:46:00 For some reason every now and then, the Internet Explorer window keeps "deselecting itself", and by this I mean it keeps doing this:

You know when you have a window/program open and you do something like click the taskbar, how that window/program is "deselected", and changes the window frame's top to a lighter colour? Well now IE is doing that by itself for no apparent reason every now and then.
Please, how can I fix this strange problem. Thanks.

544310 2007-04-25 20:57:00 What else is running? Processes I mean?
Run a spyware check?
What things do you have like toolbars installed?
What Anti-Virus?
Ive not had a chance to look at the pic, but I know what you're talking about when the window is de-focused

544312 2007-04-25 21:03:00 It's losing its focus. Are you using Vista and pressing Enter? If so it is a known problem and not much you can do about it. If not please provide more details. FoxyMX (5)

Here is picture of the processes I have running:

I'll do a spyware check ASAP.

I have the ImageShack toolbar installed.

AVG 7 Antivirus.

How frequently does it happen?

Seemingly random, every so often (maybe 10-15 minutes or more?).

No, I'm using Windows XP Home SP2.

544315 2007-04-26 20:41:00 WMP54gv4? wmpnetwk? Kill them both.. wmpnscfg? nvsvc32? wlservice?
Otherwise, just looks like AnyDVD, iTunes, Windows Media Player.. AVG Antivirus... :)

Kill those 5-odd things, then go start --> run --> msconfig
Remove them from loading at boot and restart the machine
See how you go, you can always re-add them later

Eek, I'm kinda worried about doing that, as I'm pretty sure (but not 100%) that WMP54gv4 is something to do with my wireless internet connection. Or maybe it's to do with Windows Media Player...same as the wmpnetwk and wmpnscfg ones...nvsvc32 might have something to do with Nero. Actually just looking at the startup tab...

...WMPNSCFG is related to Windows Media Player. Not sure about the others though.

544317 2007-04-27 09:30:00 You dont need the QT entry, or the NVcpl entry. NVcpl are the video drivers.

If u dont use any removable media players with WMP delete that WMP entry.

It'll be better if u use ccleaner (www.ccleaner.com)

And remove those entries permanently.

WMPnetwk is related to WMP too its annoying. And a bit of a memory hog.

I have a USB which I use often, does that count?
I also already have CCleaner, and I use it a lot.
So I can delete WMPnetwk? What will that do? Can I restore it if I need to? What does that have to do with the IE window "defocusing"?
